Ashley Tapp - Taking Clients

She takes older teens and adults with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and self-esteem issues.

 

Steve McGee - Full

Steve McGee is a Pastoral Counseling intern, and the Pastor at Hillcrest church in Gaston, SC. He attended Columbia Bible College (now CIU) in the late 1980’s. After graduating, he went on to pastor churches in Batesburg, South Florida, Michigan, and eventually serve as a church planter and Bible teacher in Trinidad, West Indies. In 2009, Pastor Steve moved back to America with his family taking on the role as Executive Director with Ministries in Action (MIA). He continued to minister in the Caribbean and Latin America through Biblical education, disaster relief teams, and medical missions. In January of 2013 he received a call from Hillcrest asking if he would become their next lead Pastor, and he accepted and moved back to SC. Pastor Steve is a graduate of Columbia Bible College, Greenville Seminary, and also holds a degree from North Central Theological Seminary. He is currently working on his Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Columbia International University.

He takes clients 16 years and older dealing with family issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and also does couples counseling.

 

Katelynn Kolb - Full

Katelynn is in the last few semesters of her master’s in clinical Mental Health program at Messiah University. She has a passion for working with children and teens, as well as the veteran population, specifically PTSD. She has experienced working with children through volunteering at her local church as well as being previously certified as a Behavior Technician for children with autism spectrum disorder.  Her passion for teens is to help them feel equipped to navigate the challenging years of middle school and high school.

Katelynn views counseling through a holistic lens. She believes that healing comes from the mind, body, and soul. As a result, she is interested in pursuing a certification in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy. She welcomes all spirituality into the sessions. For children, she is interested in becoming certified in play therapy, as well as using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She will take a person-centered approach with empathy and understanding as well as utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques, solution-focused and family systems.

Katelynn lives with her husband and three children in Lexington. They have moved to the area in 2021 for her husband’s job. Before starting school, she worked as the mission’s coordinator for her church. She has served on two short term mission trips and has a desire to travel to many different countries sharing God’s love and learning about all of the different cultures. Her goal is to make sure that she is a culturally competent and sensitive counselor to people from all backgrounds.

 

Linnette Mullin - Full

Linnette graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Columbia International University (CIU) in 2021. (Other studies include theology and communications.) She is currently a third year graduate student at CIU, earning her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (a CACREP program).  

As an Intern at Bridge of Hope Counseling Center, Linnette offers a holistic counseling approach. With a heart for women who have experienced relationship trauma, she is equipped to address many issues. Her areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

Relationship Difficulties, Abuse, & Trauma

Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
