Paul Bishop, MA, LPC, LPCS Paul graduated from Columbia International University with a Masters’ Degree in Intercultural Studies in 1998 and a Masters in Counseling in 2001. He worked in private practice as a counselor at Palmetto Counseling Associates before coming to FBLEX in 2003. He oversees the counseling center and is a licensed professional counselor supervisor, offering supervision to other counselors, as well as directing our recovery program. Paul works with mission organizations as a consultant for their psychological evaluations, and is passionate about serving those who serve.
W. Reid Wood, MA, LPC Reid graduated in 2010 with his M.A. in Clinical Counseling from Columbia International University. Before graduating he served as a pastor for 4 years. He has over 10 years of clinical and pastoral counseling combined. Reid has experience working with a broad spectrum of issues including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personal adjustment issues, pre-marital and marital issues, family issues, child and adolescent issues, substance abuse, trauma, crisis, vocational/occupational counseling, academic problems, and spiritual concerns. Beverly T. Puzia, Ph.D Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, Advanced Certification with the National Christian Counselors Association since 1993. Dr. Bev received her M.S. and Ph.D in Philosophy/Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Evangelical Theological Seminary. Carla Burran, MA Pastoral Counselor, Marriage & Family Carla received her BA in Psychology from the University of Georgia and her Masters in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. She has advanced certification for marriage counseling with Symbis and Prepare & Enrich; and with P.A.I.R. for suicide prevention, intervention and grief. As Certified Behavior Analyst, Carla has over 20 years-experience with the DISC personality temperament system, and holds certifications for both Christian and business applications. She is a member and upholds the professional standards outlined by, the American Association of Christian Counselors. Carla works with adolescents, adults, couples and families to help facilitate emotional and spiritual growth through life’s struggles and challenges. Through her graduate level training and personal life experience Carla has a special interest in Grief Counseling and Blended-Family Counseling. She and her husband Keith are members at FBLEX.
Louise Duval, MA, LPC, LAC, CAC graduated from Furman University with a BA in Psychology in 1999 and went on to earn Masters Degrees in Marriage and Family Counseling and Christian Education from Southwestern Seminary in 2002. Louise worked for several years at LRADAC in the women’s intensive outpatient program helping women struggling with substance use. After that Louise spent 11 years working at Prisma Health Counseling (Formerly Palmetto Health Counseling) where she worked with clients with a variety of issues. Louise has experience working with many populations including men, women, couples, families, and children. She also has experience helping people with many different issues including pre-marital/marriage counseling (trained in Prepare/Enrich), substance use, spiritual issues, anxiety, depression, and women’s issues. Louise is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed addictions counselor (LAC), and certified addictions counselor (CAC). Louise is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), and South Carolina Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (SCAADAC).
